quiet winding road leads you up from the quaint, historic village of Read's Landing
to American Eagle Bluff B & B. The Inn is approached by a long country road
shaded by conifers and sugar maple trees. Our Inn is a quiet, secluded and private
bed and breakfast surrounded by a pine forest, natural virgin prairie, antique apple
orchards, and 100-year-old oak trees. Our grounds feature trees and flowers of every
conceivable variety.
American Eagle is located on one of the most unique bluffs on
the Mississippi River Valley, as we sit exclusively on the unspoiled confluence of
the Mississippi and Chippewa Rivers. We have pristine, unparalleled views of the
Mississippi River Valley and the Chippewa River Valley. In addition, you can view
the Tiffany Wildlife Preserve, the largest inland flood plain wildlife area in the
Midwest.
Surrounded by grand old trees, our 1870 red brick farmhouse combines the charm of
antiquity, along with bold and modern design details, all reflecting the house's style
and tradition. Each of our rooms is decorated with art, handmade rugs and antiques
giving the home a modern and eclectic twist. Our common room is a wonderful
place to lounge in a leather armchair or relax while the fireplace flickers in the
